When people meet Tierney Buonaventura, they most often think she is hiding something. This is true: her secret is herself. Tierney is quite guarded, though she is not especially shy. She simply does not trust anyone and as such keeps them at a distance from her true self. She is loyal to no one (with the possible exception of her father), and she doesn’t hold grudges because she never lets anyone get close enough for a betrayal to truly hurt her. She is a master of getting what she wants without coming across as pushy, arrogant, or even spoiled: she’ll just make you think it was your idea. Because that plan often takes time to work out, she is an extremely patient person. Though this ability of manipulation may seem to be a negative aspect of her personality, Tierney resolved several years ago only to use it to benefit others – she wants to make a difference in the world.

It is the year 2022, and the wizarding world of Britain has flourished since the fall of Lord Voldemort. With Kingsley Shacklebolt as the Minister of Magic and reconstruction after the war complete, life is rather ordinary for the next generation of wizards and witches attending school at Hogwarts. That is, until they discover that the Triwizard Tournament has returned. With the introduction of twenty new students and the temporary hiatus of interhouse competition for Quidditch and House cups, the students must learn to cast aside their differences and work together while enjoying the differences that make everyone unique. But they are, after all, teenagers and most everyone knows that things can always turn unexpected, especially when magic is involved.
